Founder
Layne Ragsdale, CFP® is the founder of The Nest Financial and has spent more than 20 years helping individuals, families, and business owners make confident decisions about their financial futures.
Born and raised in Branson, Missouri, Layne graduated from College of the Ozarks in 1984. Before entering the financial services industry in 2005, she spent eight years serving as President of the Harrison Chamber of Commerce, developing a deep connection to the people, businesses, and communities of the Ozarks. She founded The Nest Financial in 2011 and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2014.
Community service has been a constant throughout Layne’s career. In 2010, she received the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce Individual Community Service Award. She was also a founding member of the Harrison Community Task Force on Race Relations in 2002, whose work has drawn international media attention and been featured in documentaries and coverage by PBS, CNN, the BBC, and Al Jazeera.
Layne has been a member of the Harrison Rotary Club for 30 years, serving as Club President in 2004–2005 and continuing to lead its annual charity skydiving fundraiser. She also serves on the North Arkansas College Foundation Board and the Boone County Regional Airport Board.
Throughout her career, Layne has believed that good financial planning begins with knowing the people behind the numbers. Her approach is built around personal relationships, thoughtful planning, and helping clients navigate retirement, investing, and life’s important financial decisions.
Today, Layne works alongside Michael Bardwell as they continue building The Nest Financial for the next generation—combining decades of experience with a shared commitment to providing personal, relationship-driven financial guidance to the families and businesses they serve.
Outside the office, Layne enjoys spending time with her husband, Loren, and their large extended family.
